DALLAS — A pilot taxiing behind an Envoy Air regional jet at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport reported witnessing a large plastic bag pulled into the aircraft’s left engine on or around Aug. 9, 2026. The case of engine FOD ingestion played out live over air traffic control radio. A second Envoy crew in the vicinity corroborated the sighting, and controllers relayed a warning to the affected aircraft, according to audio of the exchange that circulated on social media.

“The Envoy in front of us just sucked a big plastic bag into his left engine,” one crew told DFW tower controllers, according to the radio traffic.
